Growing up in the church and coming to faith at an early age allowed James to participate in many different ministry opportunities throughout his childhood, college, and early married years. James met his wife, Melissa, in college and they married shortly after he graduated. While teaching and in seminary, James and Melissa had their 3

sons, Isaac, Eli, and Abram. James has served churches in TN, MO, FL, and IN. He enjoys getting together for fellowship and playing board games. Throughout his ministry, James' focus has always been on shepherding, community, and relational evangelism. James says, "The gospel continues to change and shape me and I pray that God will use my ministry to do the same to others."

If you would like to meet with Pastor James at the church, please contact our church administrator, Theresa, at

Ralph and Lisa Johnston founded GracePointe Church in 2006 with a handful of people eager to bring the Gospel of Grace to northern Forsyth County and surrounding areas. Ralph saw GracePointe particularize and move into a building in the past 10 years of ministry. He also founded Camp Kerusso, one of Forsyth County's most popular summer camps. In the fall of 2019, GracePointe commissioned Ralph and Lisa to plant a church in North Carolina. This is GracePointe's first church plant and we are excited to see God's kingdom grow through the Johnston family.

Hannah lives in Duluth, GA with her husband, Brenden, and their son, Roman. Hannah has an Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Covenant College with concentrations in Youth Ministry, Community Development and Coaching.  When not working at camp, Hannah works as a volleyball coach at Lambert High School.

In 2017, Hannah joined the Camp Kerusso family through GracePointe Church.  Camp Kerusso quickly found a place in Hannah's heart as an opportunity to live out her calling in youth ministry within the local community.  She is passionate about the opportunities for authentic, gospel-driven relationships developed through Camp Kerusso's unique environment.  Hannah can't wait to see how God will work through Camp Kerusso in the summer of 2020!

Julie and Bruce were married in 1990 and have three children, Brenden, Bethany and Rebekah.  As Julie homeschooled her children, she became very active in ministering to younger homeschool families.  When her children began to head off to college, she transitioned out of the homeschool community but still had a passion for women and families.  In 2012, she was able to step into the position of Women’s Ministry Director for women at Gracepointe.
